For over 20 years, we have inspired young people through STEM education, ensuring that the next generation has the skills, knowledge, and confidence to shape the future. Our impact is vast – reaching 76,000 students annually and over 1.2 million students to date through hands-on experiences, engaging events, and industry partnerships.
A survey by AtkinsRéalis and education charity Governors for Schools reveals 78% of schools have no long-term, established relationships with related industries.
And only a quarter (27%) of schools said they have a STEM governor on the board. In response, a campaign has been launched calling on 25 UK businesses to commit to recruiting STEM subject governors for schools in 2025.
As part of our commitment to the STEM programme, we are organising our second STEMFest Yorkshire. This event celebrates science, technology, engineering, and mathematics, bringing together students, educators, and businesses to highlight real-world STEM careers and opportunities.
Later this year, STEMFest will once again provide a platform for young minds to engage with cutting-edge technology, innovative thinking, and inspiring role models.
