1 Week to Go: Here’s What to Expect at STEMFest Newcastle

With just one week remaining until our flagship event returns to the Vertu Motors Arena in Newcastle, we have an exciting lineup in store for you. Coordinated by the STEM Hub and delivered by RTC North, this event promises to be an exceptional showcase of key industries within STEM in the Northern region. From space organisations and engineering firms to manufacturing enterprises, we've got the STEM curriculum covered.

Taking place from the 7th – 9th October, this event will welcome over 3,000 students and around 60 companies to exhibit. The groups attending from Primary and Secondary Schools can expect fun and interactive sessions that bring science, technology, engineering and maths to life, offering real world insights into the diverse career paths available.

The headline supporter of this event is Cummins, a long-standing and dedicated partner. Additional supporters include Simpson Print, the Reece Foundation, Siemens, Sage, and the Community Foundation, whose contributions help bring this event to life and make it possible.

The exhibition is split into themed zones including - Space/ Travel, Technology, Environment/ Energy and Manufacturing offering engaging activities led by industry professionals and real-life STEM role models.

Beyond the main exhibition, the festival will feature a variety of workshops, designed to broaden students’ understanding of the diverse career paths. These activities include an Immersive Experience Planetarium that simulates a journey through space and a Mars Mapping activity hosted by Jim Christensen, former Director of Education at NASA's Kennedy Space Center.

We look forward to welcoming schoolchildren, teachers, and exhibitors to STEMFest, where together we will engage, inspire and empower the innovators of tomorrow.
