The Scholarship
The Dogger Bank Scholarship Programme aims to support STEM students from East Riding of Yorkshire, Redcar & Cleveland, and South Tyneside by alleviating some of the financial burden associated with attending university. This year, there will be 30 scholarships of £5,000 a piece, which will be paid directly to the student (in regular instalments) to minimise costs such as: rent, utility bills, food, books, tuition and other necessities of student life.
By focusing on STEM disciplines, the scholarship seeks to address the UK’s wider skills shortages, which are particularly prevalent in regional communities. By providing scholarships to the communities that Dogger Bank serves, the programme aims to transform the career prospects of students in these areas, thereby also positively impacting generations to come.
